I’m Mandy Moore,  and I set up Curtains Plus (Blinds) in Faringdon nearly 40 years ago, although  I’d actually been involved in interior design and  soft furnishings for even longer.  

But I HAVE now decided - finally -  to pack away my tape measure and scissors and allow the curtains to close on this wonderful chapter of my life.

Increasingly, I was finding that the new clients  setting up home for the first time were the children of my first clients...

 Is it worth reupholstering a beloved sofa or a chair - or is it trying to tell you that its time has come?

If the piece of furniture is otherwise sound and you like it, then it’s worth reupholstering, particularly if it was a good quality piece when you bought it.

Springs can also be repaired, arms repadded and seat cushions replaced if they have flattened.

The end result is that the piece will look like new, and can of course also be made to match the curtains and other items of furniture.
